In collaboration with Hilo Medical Center, we are excited to offer another round of First Aid/CPR Instructor certification for Hawaiʻi Island residents. This initiative aims to train at least one instructor per district in each session, with a cap of 10 individuals per training round.
Interested instructors must complete 4-6 hours of online coursework before attending the in-person certification. The hands-on certification is a full-day event, available on two dates: March 25th or October 21st, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Vibrant Hawaiʻi will cover the cost of certification, and will prioritize applicants who have a medical or lifesaving skills background, and individuals who commit to providing free First Aid/CPR certification workshops in their community.
By providing equitable access to training for instructors and community members, we hope to advance resilience, thriving, and vibrancy for all who call Hawaiʻi Island home.
