A USDA Summer Food Service Program
About the Program
Since 2021, Vibrant Hawaiʻi has served as the Sponsor Agency for the USDA Summer Food Service Program, Kaukau 4 Keiki, for the County of Hawaiʻi.
Through its extensive network, the Vibrant Hawaiʻi program reaches even the most remote and underserved areas of Hawaiʻi Island, expanding access to food security where it’s needed most.

2026 Registration
Registration for 2026 Kaukau 4 Keiki opens on February 23rd at 6AM and will remain open through March 1st 11:59PM.
Families are encouraged to register early.
Registration IS NOT an indication that your child is confirmed to participate. Families will be notified of their status on June 1, 2026 via text message.
How to Register:

Submit one registration per child.

A valid cell phone number and residential zip code is required for registration processing.
Program Eligibility:

Children ages 18 and under

Individuals age 19 and over must be enrolled in a school program for persons with disabilities

Registered child must not be participating in another USDA summer meal program (e.g., DOE Summer Meals)
Program Information:

Participation confirmation along with distribution location, day, and time will be sent June 1st, 2026 via text message.

Vibrant Hawaiʻi will assign participants to the site located within their residential zip code. Site assignments are final.

Kaukau 4 Keiki begins the week of Monday, June 22 and will conclude the week ending Friday, July 31, 2026.
